.s2 "Case Statement"
.pp
PCC has a strange interpretation of the ``case'' statement. It is
permissible for the ``case'' statement corresponding to a ``switch'' statement,
to be buried within a complex statement. That is, it is legal to jump inside
another statement with a ``switch'' statement. The following switch statement
will compile under PCC, but will generate an error message under C-\*(ZP at the line ``case 2:''.
.ne 8
.(l
switch (i) {
case 1:
	if (j) {
		case 2:
		i = 3;
	}
}
.)l
.pp
The only known use of this construct is in the source code for PCC!
